Hi Pete

Think I’ve found the terminal but no red wire I’m afraid , the fuse box is a 2008

Out of curiosity I also looked on the wiring diagram for that red wire and goes towards a tv amp , bizarre unless of course I’m looking at the wrong place Whistle

Next thing I’m going to do is cut open the entire loom and lay it out, in order I can remove the complete heated washer jet loom

Will also try and remove the jet terminals from the back of the fuse box, will try on one I’m not going to use to experiment with

Ur very welcome , wondering why it goes to an amp ?? , but then looking at it again seems it goes to a body earth , which I assume that’s why the wire can be utilised for the FBH remote

Thks, fingers crossed I can get the terminals out of the fuse box easily enough Thumbs Up

Sat down today and started to remove the wires

The covers that were on top of the fuse box just unclip, can then use a thin small flat screw driver to push a piece of plastic inside the fuse box that holds the terminals in

Will take me a good while as I intend to separate the entire loom as much as I can without damaging any of it

Noticed there are some connectors which I’m able to remove from the main loom, will see how it goes over time

some piccies Thumbs Up

I guess that is where I went wrong. Not removing the grey top.

Hi Pete

I don’t mind admitting it took me ages to work it out, indeed I just removed them and allowed me access to the terminals Thumbs Up

Hi

On one side of the fuses , No’s F12 and F16 there is a link wire that goes up to the relay for the heated mirrors and heated jets

Then on the heated jet loom the wire is on the other side of the F12 fuse which goes up to the heated jets

There is also another connector that goes with the heated jet loom, I’m wondering if that goes to the wiper motor

Taken a pic of how the link wire goes into the fuse box, just placed it there and not in the correct fuse numbers, just to show how it goes

Got the loom out I need , with the terminal that will plug on the other side of the fuse F12 and both connectors that will fit onto the heated jets themselves

Parts of the loom have some really black sticky tape which is making it a lot harder to separate , but will over time slowly see what I can separate without cutting anything

Hope that makes sense

Also just thought , When I get round to it I will open my fuse box on the disco to ensure that link wire is there

I imagine it is so therefore in theory it will just be the wire missing from the other side of F12 that goes up to the heated jets

But will 100% confirm that for u Thumbs Up

Hi

Looks as though it goes to the wiper motor

Oh yes all good fun , I’m that sad I’m quite enjoying sitting at the table and slowly undoing all of it

What part of the HSE loom have u got plse, the same engine one or different

Always happy to help where I can, have bought a better HD wiper arm puller as the old one I bought was useless , can then get the scuttle panel off

At least this thread will be a guide of what’s involved , will be so worth it to have the heated jets

So glad you are doing it didn't have time to check mine for you last weekend it was a bit hellish but if I can convince the missus I need to paint the scuttle panel then I'll get to digging. The HSE loom I have was the complete cabin loom but some of that is now inside mine heating seats and connecting parking sensors modules. and operating sun visor lamps.

Something that may help with unraveling the wiring. Use a hairdryer to warm up the tape. It will loosen the sticky backing and make it easier to peel off Thumbs Up
