So glad you are doing it didn't have time to check mine for you last weekend it was a bit hellish but if I can convince the missus I need to paint the scuttle panel then I'll get to digging. The HSE loom I have was the complete cabin loom but some of that is now inside mine heating seats and connecting parking sensors modules. and operating sun visor lamps.

Hi

No worries and indeed weather was appalling , that’s what i also wish to do is paint the scuttle panel

Hopefully I don’t have to use a dremel to cut the wiper arms off, fingers crossed the HD puller will work as by Christ the arms are well and truly stuck on there

Have retrofitted front electric seats but didn’t go to heated , they were memory seats and ended up ripping the memory module out and doing a complete new drivers loom so have constant power to them instead of the 3 x second bursts

Ur sun visor lamps, where the wires tucked behind the front centre light please , thks

Something that may help with unraveling the wiring. Use a hairdryer to warm up the tape. It will loosen the sticky backing and make it easier to peel off Thumbs Up

Hi

Bless u , as indeed is a right sod trying to separate the wires , is like tar, assume it’s to protect the wires from water ingress as it goes through the large wire loom grommets

Thks for the tip Bow down

Hi

Thks, I did wonder what the stuff was, it’s where the wires go through the large grommets , never seen it before as when I pulled the wires apart it stretched like thin rubber

At suggested will try a hot air gun as it’s got a temperature dial on it so won’t melt the wires Whistle

Wire for sun visors wasn't there so that came off the HSE loom and spliced into the wires on the drivers side A pillar. It wasn't the weather that was hellish no the weather was lovely it was fitting cam belts and oil pump Big Cry

I did try it , found separating the loom carefully and using small scissors to slowly cut it is working Thumbs Up

Many thks , I did wonder if it was there , have seen some connectors tucked away behind the light

Hats off to u for doing the belts, I got flack and Geoff to do mine for peace of mind, at least I don’t have to worry for another 4 x years when it’s due again under the 7 year replacement schedule

Those are the connectors for the auto dimming mirror and rain sensor. The feed for the sun visors is split off from the green and white + wire coming up the drivers side a pillar.

I also painted my scuttle panel today so while it was off I had a look for any extra wires or connectors but there was nothing there only the wiper motor wires.

Hi

That’s really helpful, bless u for taking the time to look, thk u Thumbs Up

Ref the sun visor wires do u have to get the HSE loom or are u able to make them up please, did notice some wires by the A pillar but assume they were for the heated screen , big thick wires so indeed not the sun visor ones

Still waiting for the HD wiper puller to turn up so can attempt trying to remove the arms , seeing the first puller was useless

May i ask did u just use a plastic primer and Matt finish plse for the scuttle panel , imagine it looks a lot better now it’s done

Thks again Thumbs Up

No worries you're welcome.
I took the wires from the HSE loom as the plugs are quite small, it may be possible to make them up I'll see if I can get a photos of them, the feed wire for them is a green and white affair probably 3mm thick. Ref the scuttle I used a plastic primer and then Ed China's favourite Satin Black.

I think the mirror and rain sensor go up passenger pillar

Part way up the driver pillar is a connector.
This is probably for interior lights.
The premium part may just plug in here.
