That's a really horrid cloned/pattern connector. The Webasto fuel pump connector is the same, and I do those. And I'm cheaper for an original than for a clone
Can do without the wires and just as terminals+seals if necessary.
Bless u, always good to know
Have taken that ebay link out and replaced it with urs

I would try and hobble out there and disconnect the battery to let the systems reset and dry out.
Rest your back a few days. And then connect the battery back up.
lock the doors before hand, and leave the bonnet unlocked
Many thks, will indeed have a few days rest, felt so bloody stupid tripping like that
Cheers, will do that , battery has been disconnected the last 3 x days whilst I was messing around with the heated jet loom and only reconnected it today
When I used a camera I noticed the door seal wasn’t in properly and thought I must address that , next day had that torrential rain
Think made worse by the scuttle and A pillar panels removed
From the pic can see the water running down, sorry it’s such a bad pic, this is looking straight down the front door hinge jam right by the drivers side wing
It’s the loom that goes from the body into the door seal

Check the earth connection points.
Hi Martin
All the battery earths are ok, that’s the only ones I disturbed , do u mean the earths on the inside of the drivers door where the door loom is please
I checked all the fuses in the engine back and they were ok, also the window fuses in the cabin fuse box were also sound
The passenger window and door mirrors on both sides will work for a few seconds then stop,
Drivers window is like slight clicker sound
At first I thought as I haven’t got the heated jets connected if it’s like an open loop but then thought by the few second movement of the pass window and mirror they wouldn’t work at all if that was the case of an open circuit
I did remove the drivers footwell panel a little while ago because I was fitting some footwell light and can see there are a few connectors , alas don’t know which connector the door loom fits into
After removing the engines fuse box I didn’t want to jump to conclusions straight away that I had done something wrong, just thought by the brief intermittent power and then the rain coinciding it made more sense
Thks as always

Few more pics to slowly bring this retrofit to an end,
Yeh i know can hear everyone cheer from here
Hope this will help others in the future
F12 yellow/ brown wire installed for the heated windscreen washer jets , this circuit takes a 10amp fuse
Can see the extra conduit on top of the other one, I carefully undone some of the tape, put a screwdriver at the end of the rubber grommet and fed the wire through , done it that way without cutting the rubber grommet, then resealed
Wire now cable tied onto main loom
New conduit being secured by cable ties
Running conduit up the inside of the bonnet
Left connectors there ready for when the D4 heated jets turn up

Looking further into this door loom connector
Is this it please and is it easy to get to , as I assume if there’s a connector it will have to come apart
Just trying to find what that rubber seal is as it goes through from the door into the cabin
Any pics around please
Many thks
Hope non operating windows or mirrors isn’t a MOT failure , goes in on 3Rd July

non working windows maybe an issue. not sure
didn't you disturb the earth next to the battery?
you must have earthed the jets somehow.
I think the window earth is just inside the car, forward of the door.
(To the side of where the throttle pedal is)

Know that door loom seal from the body to the door isn’t in correctly , so thinking water has tracked past
Door mirrors and pass window sprung into life for a few seconds then stopped
All fuses ok and no faults on iid , covered everything back up and just waiting for my scuttle and A pillar to dry completely
when trying to operate the passenger window were you doing it from the drivers door switch pack?
Try using the passenger window switch. If that works, it's probably an earth near the throttle pedal

Thks Pete
I earthed the jets on the Rh side of the FBH , only other earth I indeed touch was the battery one
Ah bless u ref where the door earths are
It’s just this connector loom I’m trying to work out, if the connector is part of the rubber seal, of that makes sense
Thks ref windows , think it’s just a coincidence with me removing the fuse box and scuttle panel, A pillars along with the heavy rain
Got until the 3rd July so gives me a couple of weeks and get these scuttle and A pillars back in the sooner
I bet some water has also got into the back of the CJB as well , did check and looks bone dry
Pass window works on and off , pass rear will work if I use that switch , drivers and drivers rear nothing
Central locking ok
Both mirrors will work and adjust fully but not for long
Will start at the drivers earth and that door loom connector , think it needs to come apart to see if there’s any water or bad pins
Also getting it flush with the body panel as it must have been like that a while and maybe with the panels off has allowed water to finally track down and into the connector ???
Nothing like a mystery search , ie the curtain airbag one
Thks as always

Thanks Pete , u steered me in the right direction
So can now get on with heated jets and getting the scuttle panel all back together
Fitting these heated jets certainly hasn’t been a 5 x min job and really hope it will be worth it this winter time
