Yes, I def have the later ecu in the pic, I was checking connections earlier today.
Good news about the loom....any suggestions as where I could get an early ecu?
Did you buy new or from a breakers?
Cheers Phil

The ECU's tend not to come up for sale on their own but with the wheel.
However if you look at the PCB it is marked up as L322 -
So I have no doubt that with a bit of messing about you could get one for a FFRR and get it to work - perhaps the cables may need extending or pinout changing.
There's plenty of them for sale on eBay

Thought about this again.
If neither the left or right hand switch packs light up when the side lights are on then I doubt the switch packs are compatible with your car - I'd be tempted to start again and sell the bits you don't use.
I had 4 wheels including the original non heated wheel at one point until I sussed out where I was going wrong

I might just do that... and look for a MY compatible one.
I'll see if I can find the parts I need first, I've two already.... or three including the one fitted.

Is it possible to fit a complete later model heated wheel to an earlier car , if it's complete with all the ecus and switchpacks? I'm thinking 14MY wheel into a 12MY. Assuming clockspring changed and IID changes made.
