Reverse wiring Loom
Good evening, I am looking for some advise.
I have purchased some super bright reversing lamps and would like to use them as work lamps as well.
So does anyone know if I wire a rocker switch into my dashboard can I piggy back a 12v feed (via the cigarette lighter) from the switch into the back of the fuse for the reversing lights in the fuse board or does this fuse run to the gearbox first?
If this is the case does anyone know where the loom for the rear lights run and where is best place to cut into it to allow me to switch on the revising lights without selecting reverse?
All being well this will be tomorrow's project!
Thank you for your help

You can programme the third key fob button to operate reversing lights as part of the ‘follow me home’ goodie....... can’t remember if headlights would be on as well or if they are timed. .....might save you a job if you didn’t want them on for too long.Best Regards,
Dave.

Good idea jumper. Ccf edit.
They would only stay on for the timed period though.
Don’t recall what the maximum is.

Thanks for that jumper but I could only run them when the engine is off in that scenario. I was thinking of running the lights while the engine is running for example hooking a trailer up in the dark.

You could pick up the power supply at the rear where the trailer Wiring connector is fitted, you have a live there. and the reversing lights connector. Just have a switch in the back panel inside the boot.
