Reversed into security post !!
Oh .........
leaving home on tuesday morning I reversed into the security post in our driveway
The sun was really bight and low in the sky so I didnt see it in the reversing camera until it was too late.
Its put a nice rip in the rear bumper, just below the paint line.
In typical D4 Bling form, the bumper isnt too pricy (thanks TLO) but the charge to paint it doubles the price
why couldnt LR have kept all the bumper black
So, if anyone wants a nearly brand new D4 rear numper in Rimini Red, with a cut out for a 12v aux Anderson socket (might need some minor modification), I may have one for sale.....
Obviosly I will post it in the For Sale and Wanted if I decide to sell it (just thought i would get that in before the post is sensored )Duncan

I measured it and I think i must have pressed the post remote, and the post was on its way up when i reversed over it
havnt got any pics of my actual post : buts its one of these :
its not the first time we have hit it :
Hit No1 (twice actually) : hit with front of D3 when trying to pull caravan out of drive (thought the caravan brakes were sticking, so tried again !!) - hit it with winch so no damage
Hit No2 : MrsDiscDunc reversed her jeep into it - breaking bumper
Hit No3 : MrsDiscoDunc reversed her jeep into it again - breakin bumper

Wasn't this your old car after a day on Dartmoor a couple of years ago? ISTR you ripped the out of that too.

BTW: strikes me as being cheaper to pay the excess on the insurance claims for theft than all the post-induced damage.
