Rimini Red for D3 No#2?

NO! It's not another stupid colour poll Rolling Eyes

Thinking of getting another D3 and giving my Cairns Blue to SWMBO Mr. Green

Have decided Rimini Red is the only way to go, as two blue ones might look a bit corporate in the driveway Wink

I've only ever seen a couple of Red D3s in the metal (at least it seems 'exclusive') and I have to say that they have caught my eye every time. So, do I get another SE, or do I go for an HSE??? Quite frankly, I haven't felt lacking with the SE at all, but I wonder what I may be missing..........

Thus far, my list of 'must-have' on the new one only contain one item that I don't currently enjoy and that is PTI. As for adaptive headlamps and 4x4 info screen.......... lets just say that they are on the 'may be nice to have but don't care' list Wink

Also thought about getting a RRS this time just to be like VA (wife with D3 etc)......... Then I gave myself a shake and hey presto - back to a second D3 Razz

My biggest concern is the Turbochip....... Does the 07 model still need it. Will Mrs JMC beat me from the lights??? Evil or Very Mad

If I had the chance to have a second D3 in the household I would definitely go for two different colours. As you say, Red is rare - nice to be different - and I think a Cairns Blue next to a Rimini Red one on the drive will look excellent - go for it!

After having 7 discos, the last two being D3's, and all being silver I went for a change after seeing Rimini Red on a RRS. I was able to see the old red on the D3 against that of the new Rimini red, as two were in the compound at my local dealers. That was it, it looked stunning, and had to have one in that colour, and never regreted it since.

Flower arranging logic I know, but the rear tail lamp goes very well against the colour and I'm very happy to have Rimini red over successive silver discos.

To say that us Rimini Red D3 is exclusive is an understatement, as very few are seen, however they all seem to be the D3's storming down the motorways Smile however if we get caught we no longer can use "it must be another D3 the same colour" as our excuse Smile

Not sure about the red Confused

I've seen a couple and had to wash my eyes with carbolic soap to get rid of the image Shocked Laughing

Each to their own...

If we all liked the same things, there would be massive queues everywhere!!

Mine is Rimini Red. Have had it a couple of weeks and still like the color or as you say colour? Someone should see if LR will tell us the percentage of each color in each country. I used to have a Discovery I in dark green, I guess it might be what we call British Racing Green. Been so many years ago I forgot what LR called the color.

07 Model year is quicker than the 06 model and a much better drive but not as quick as a chipped one would be. I like red and Tonga green but 3 dealers all said that black, silver or grey's are worth more at trade in.

That is Rimini Red CY, they do look nice - even better in the flesh. If i was buying a new one I would be tempted to have that colour.

For DG, you'd need to replace the blue one with a green one, then badly crash the rimini one to make it look like a dragon. Shocked Laughing Laughing
