Jason
You've got a pm.
Been away for a few days and haven't had chance to try it yet. Is there any other size mandrils for it?

Hi Jason
The problem is not that it is too small - it's actually too big! The threaded bolt that fits the rivnut is 5mm. and the o/s diameter of the rivnut is 7mm. The rivnuts you sent me are bigger than the ones supplied with the light guard kit and because there are only four of them I can't afford to use any for practice!
I appreciate your help with this and certainly don't want to be a nuisance. Your offer and continued assistance are very much appreciated.
Gerry

Just a public word of thanks to MacLeod313 for his generosity and faith/trust in lending me his rivnut tool. I was merely a name to him when I asked for the loan of a rivnut tool originally but without hesitation he jumped straight in and made the offer to me - a complete stranger. He will have it back tomorrow following a successful job. There's not too many people around with that depth of trust in strangers and I applaud him for it. Long may it cntinue.
For me MacLeod is a Top Man!
