Road and Off-road optimum specification
I'm looking to buy a D3. Searching through the specifications of vehicles for sale, it's difficult to determine what features are key to unlocking all the D3's capability.
While most mileage will be on road, I'm hoping to go greenlaning and participate in organized expeditions (eg Spain, Morocco, Alps, Balkans) and rallies (eg HFH).
So far, I've come across DSC, EBA (is this an updated ABS system?), HDC, RSC and ARM in addition to ETC!
Can anyone recommend a buyer's guide?
Appreciate the help

Hi and welcome,
a standard D3 with air suspension comes with everything you need. All come with terrain response, DSC, HDC etc etc.
The only real factory option that made any difference to offroad driving was a locking rear diff. its good to have but not essential.
tyres are probably your best upgrade then winch , RAI. but all these can be bought and fitted on a standard vehicleDuncan

Get a D3, and Get some AT tyres......................Then the world is your Oyster
You can kit it out as you go along, that suits your personal requirements. Most D3's on here are identical in modification, its just the personal touches that you put in to suit yourself.

Thanks for the replies. Very impressive responses, I'm delighted to be a new member.
Please forgive my ignorance - what is RAI?
Cheers
