Ronp "Trendsetter"

Well I'd just like to publicly thank Ronp for his inspired leap of faith in fitting the bonnet lettering to the A Frame. And then pushing the envelope by removing the bonnet lettering altogether.

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery after all. Thumbs Up
Very Happy
It completely changes the look of the A Frame, making it look much better built and more involved if you get my drift.

I agree my fishy friend, it's much better suited to the car with the lettering on.

Nice job Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I did this to my TD5 disco he says franticly trying to find the picture. I used Freelander letters, well not the actual letters F r e e l a n d e r. I used the Land Rover letters off a Freelander bonnet, well not actually off a bonnet. I bought the letters that would go on a Freelander bonnet.

Anyway good call Romp I think I may join the gang if thats OK Neutral

Er did you use Freelander bonnet letters Question
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Does anyone know if the letters on the tailgate are simple 'stick-on' letters. I want to remove them but I don't want to f**k up my back end (Oooh er missus!).
It's not snoberry as I only have a TDV6 SE but I know what it is and no one else really needs to know and it's easier to polish a flat surface.
I guess they are stick-on but I thought I would ask first! Question

It really looks ace fisherman (and ronp) Thumbs Up 8) Very Happy

It certainly makes the front look chunkier and more substancial.

Fisherman, any chance of a photo from slightly further away to give an idea of perspective (and how it would actually looks in passing) Question Even better I imagine Thumbs Up

Also - I agree with Drookit Dug about the lettering. You have what you have for your own reasons, the only thing other people need to know is that it's a DISCOVERY 3 Thumbs Up I see and hear far too much badge snobbery "Oh, not quite an HSE then..." Makes me sick Rolling Eyes

I've said this all along - Wink

Little bit of heat and they pop right off (use something plastic to do any "levering") - might not be able to use them again tho' ...
