Roof Tent

I'm toying with transfering my Hannibal roof tent from my Disco 2 to the D3 but wonder what issues there are with fixing it to roof bars or does it really need a purpose built rack?

Had mine mounted to the LR rail via two cross bars
no problem
now mounted on a FR Roof rack some
