A bull bar definately improves the entry angle. Thumbs Up

I can then take entry at any angle Wink

thats a little bit better, but i think if it was redesigned to be more rounded at the ends were the arch plastic things on the wings are probly would help , then just slim it down quite a lot rather than looking like an RSJ has been bolted on. i think with more R&D put into it it will be a good bit of kit

I quite like it, without the bars it looks stealthy (in a big american sort of way...)

Very I like the recovery points on the front. Illegal here as the stick out like the cross bar.

Wouldn't this apply here in the UK, meaning be illegal, the recovery points?

Someone will know i'd imagine, but i mind something from years ago, about something similar.

It's actually just the shape of the bars above the bumper that make it look so ugly (in that 1970's eastern European sort of way!) Below looks quite purposeful. I know some people seem to think that everything off-road has to look as crap as possible to be any good, but the beauty of the D3 is in the subtlety of the curves and stressed surfaces. Call me fussy but I think good design is important to the way we feel about things.

I think steel bumpers are illegal now in the UK? Rovertym doesn't really market outside the country because of all the different regulations to deal with, but probably wouldn't turn down most anyone wanting to give them money Laughing

I'm quite Americanly happy with mine Razz They told me that rounding edges would make them cost prohibitive for a small company that doesn't mass produce stamped products. However, one nice thing about the small shops is they are made to order, so more options to meet personal tastes and needs.

Yeah, personally I don't like brush bars at all, which is why I didn't get it put on mine. Even ARB's look like they've ball-gagged the front end to me Laughing

Here are a couple more photos showing the latest prototype during a testing run this weekend on the east coast (Uwharrie). From what I understand, it still needs to be tweaked with an aluminum skid plate vs. the slotted metal on Tami's and some other small things but overall, this bumper is very solid and basically finished.

Gotta love those 32.5" Cooper STT's with the RoverTym 2" lift!

Is it compatable with the airbags. ie doesn't change the trigger point?

I thought the front air bags were triggered by accelerometers (amongst other readings of speed/brake etc) - are there other sensors in the front?
