That's always my dilemma. It is a G4 so I want to keep it original as possible, but try to minimize Off-road damage. The steel Camel Trophy Disco 1 bumper was easy to fix. Just jump on the corners and they will be in reasonable shape.
But the D3 bumper looks a little funerable to me.

Just to clarify it
and
the car isnt mine its inlaws they are late 70s early 80s on pensions ....

I felt (and still do) that they were treated very badly over this and as it cost them �60 to have the wiper blade AND arm replaced, I think that they should not have to suffer the cost ...I wont name the supermarket but its a bog one and "every little helps" them! but seemingly NOT their valued...

Thanks, but that's not it. Whether the lights are in "Automatic" mode or "Off", the behaviour is the same. Bottom line is that unless the front and middle dome lights are both on, none of the other interior lights will come on.
The sales rep mentioned something about a "showroom mode", but he didn't know anything more about it.

If you're travelling via the Newell I found the dealer in Dubbo (a Ford dealer) to be excellent for an emergency fix. I had a terrible EPB failure (discussed on another thread). The Dubbo dealer didn't have anyone trained to replace the entire back axle, seals, fuel assembly (mostly melted) but they quickly sent off a young bloke to LR school for a week. Parts took forever to come from the UK (V8 brake assembily all being different and rare) but they did an excellent job and took great...

Thanks Rob for this. In a much earlier life we had a double-axle trailer with a hydraulic drive on it for gathering hay in boggy meadows (in Colorado in a mountail valley meadow). It ran off of the tractor hydraulics but was a perpetual source of problems (and it didn't ahve the power source mounted on it). I suspect this is one of those things that quite a few inventors have tried to solve but any solution is inherently more complex than the problem is solves. Also I can just imagine...

I put unleaded in mine and it cost me �500 to get LR to fix it. I never started the car and there are posts on here quoting silly money for LR to fix the problem if you have started it.

I know the AA can come and flush out the tanks for a couple of hundred quid which might also be an option - check out their website.

I thought if it was super locked, i.e via the remote you couldn't open it with the key as it was deadlocked. I thought somebody else had the same thing recently and had to get LRA out to open the bonnet.

Melox, A similar thing happened to mine a couple of months ago - although it was driven for about 10 miles with a 50:50 mix of diesel and unleaded. Land Rover insist that the entire fuel system is replaced in order to keep your warranty - the bad news is that this costa �4-6000. The good news is that most insurance companys will cover it. I ended up paying only the �250 excess on my policy.

There are many posts on here regarding mis-fuels. Some peoplee have had success in...

Just drain the tank...refill the car with diesel and say nothing to LR, if you do u run the risk of losing your
warranty.
