Turned up this morning at the Thistle Hotel in Cheltenham only to find the car park chokka with LR. Mix of Defenders, Disco's and Range Rovers. Most had BV in the registration.

Some had Experience Stickers on the doors and a lot of the Defenders were left hookers.

Quite a site.

view forum post
_________________
A pessimist is an optimist with experience

Anyone know how long it takes for new rotors and brake pads to bed in? I recently changed my front & rear rotors and pads about 400 miles ago and they(rears) are starting to make a scraping sound. I followed Bodsy brake bible to a tee. Is this normal? My epb works fine, even though I did have my amber brake light turn on for a few seconds when I drove forward with the epb engaged. The light hasn't come on since. I also checked the rotor guards in case a rock got stuck in there, the...

view forum post
_________________
Narpy's Grill Mod, Suspension Rods, Ultra guage, nitto grappler 285/60/18, new thermostat, diff oils changed, brake switch new, aluminum rack floor, LED driving lights in foglights, rear camera, just need gvif unit, next on list!
Hi All,

Still thoroughly delighted with my new (to me) D3. Just a question. The fuel filler flap is never locked, I've played the locking unlocking game, poked and prodded the mechanism, even checked with a colleague who also has one, his is the same!! Obviously we're a bit concerned, not for fuel theft but more so if someone were to add a little extra to our tanks!

I've searched for answers on here but they all seem to point to the flaps sticking...

view forum post
Been looking round for ages and have finally found a D3, it's a Green HSE on a 55 plate with cream leather interior, 85k on the clock, side steps, tints, fridge etc etc etc.

I have bought it from a Honda dealer for a reasonable price, it comes with ONE years warranty, 7 days insurance and a fresh MOT, they are also doing the 7yr/105k service before I collect it, tidy motor with some real minor issues which I think can be rectified by asking stupid questions on here.

	Hi,

So My Discovery 3 HSE has been in for the 7 year service today. I bought the car a couple of weeks back knowing this service was due. The Land Rover dealer informed me some reflow sensors on the exhaust are missing. Apparently there are kits to have them removed?

What do they do and I guess its OK to not have them??

Thanks
Hi,

My Discovery 3 today went to Land Rover to have its 7 Year Cam Belt Service. In having this done they do a check on all parts and ware etc. They reported that the Prop Shaft needs to be replaced at a cost of £450! They said because a rubber is worn the whole thing will need replacing as it comes as one part?

Does anyone know what this means and if I have any other options? <img src="http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/images/smiles/icon_bigcry.gif" alt="Big>...

view forum post
I was comparing my D3 to my brother-in-laws today and noticed that the air mass sensor was unplugged in mine. It must have been like that for quite a while as nothing has been touched in that area since the last service.

The car has been running fine with around 30mpg on a long journey etc - it's an auto. It has original type egr valves, which were replaced a while back.

I have always thought this was an important item and the car would not run well if it...

view forum post
Our D3 will be hauling the family to the South of France next month. Given it's usual fare is short journies, I felt some pre-journey checks might be in order before embarking on a 1500 mile round trip.

Aside from oil, water, tyre pressures, any other suggested pre-journey checks to minimise potential problems?

view forum post
_________________
'06 TDV6 HSE, Java, Black Leather, Logic 7, Privacy, Steps
I have a d3, all color coded in zambesi silver. It did have a set of 22 inch stormer wheels on it but now have 19 inch disco 4 wheels and mt tyres.

I have just carried out the fog lamp angle eye mod and the rear d4 lights and i wondered if it would be too much to de orange the head lamps, and have a silver modded grill as well. I was thinking of having black mesh bars in the grille instead of silver.

What do you guys think I should do?
