So for peace of mind i put in place a WD warranty and got a good deal after negotiating - got everything covered.

Now looking to put in place breakdown cover. Was looking at the AA and i see they also offer Breakdown Repair Cover for a few quid more.

Would it be a good idea to have both BRC and WD? are there any advantages? are there any disadvantages?

any advice would be great!
Sent my disco back under warranty about a month ago due to lack of power. Indy blanked EGRs, now no problems. Then noticed a rumble two weeks ago. Back in it went for a wheel bearing. Went to pick it up yesterday and guy says " well we changed the bearing and the other one was showing slight signs of starting to go so we changed that one as well. Oh and your brake pads were over half worn so we stuck some new ones in while we had it all apart"

So now I'm thinking...

view forum post
_________________
Mods:

Just wanted to share my experience with Car select Warranty as sold by Lex Auto Lease part of the Lloyds TSB Group
I purchased a 08MY XS D3 from Car Select in Jan this year and have had no problems till now
EML light on and diagnosed by Bodsy as EGR failure when having some functions enabled.
I took the car into Guy Salmon Coventry today and had the diagnosis confirmed, the warranty company will cover the labour costs, gaskets but not the cost of genuine LR EGR...

view forum post
