Has anyone else noticed that Santorini Black paint seems very soft and easy to scratch?. We live down a narrow lane and even the impact of summer weed growth on the sides of the car scratches the paint.. This not due to hard growth in the hedge, but stuff like cow parsley!...

Do the new paints harden with age?. The car is only 6 months old.. so wondered if it will improve..

Hi,
This is a bit of a strange one the one touch closure on the nearside front (passenger) window has stopped working.

Yes I know you just have to hold the button up and the window will close but it will not rase when you use the "total closure" so you have to close the windows before leaving the car. I didn't know if anyone had a quick fix as I just don't have time to go back to the dealers. ...

Hi all, well its been a while since visiting the site.

It's time to make a decision on the replacement of my beloved RRS 5.0L S/C, having bought my first LR in 2005 starting with a MY06 D3 and moving onto a MY10 RSS S/C it time to consider a D4.

The RRS drove away this morning to it's new home having sold it in less than 24hrs for great money.

Now I need your help with a decision,I'm planning on having both a D4 and a VW Amarok by the end of...

As a relatively new D4 owner I have been thinking about gearing up for future maintenance activities (quite like putting my hand to simple maintenance activities). I bought the D3 Haynes manual which seems OK but kept thinking that it would be nice to have specific D4 info (engine/gearbox etc).

Tried to search this forum for recommendations but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for...

New D4 pulling the caravan well at the weekend....a little too well!

Lost the passenger side Milenco Grand Aero (....at a little bit over 70 ...on a overtaking manover on the dual carridgeway - just trying to be considerate and all).

The mirrors came with the van and as the mirrors on the D4 are marginal to need extra...

Finally narrowed down the search of my new (to me) Disco.

The one i'm favouring hasn't got any tow equipment or electrics I know the dealer price would be a fortune but what are my options for an after market one?

i see the removable ones come up on the for sale section here but i would need electics added and enabled? and would i be able to add tow assist? as i beleive this can be added with surround cameras?

Any pointers would be great...

Bit of a milestone here as I have achieved a true average of 30.066 mpg over the last 3 tankfuls / 1354 miles.

Managed to get my D3 to 29 point something, but never broke the big 30 over 3 tankfuls, so pretty happy!

Would nice to get even more before the cold weather hits and the mpg tumbles again....

Hi all,
This is my first post on what has been a very useful forum for lurking on!

We are considering taking the plunge and trading in my wife's FL2 XS for a 14 month old MY12 D4 HSE (Land Rover approved used)

This D4 is priced v well, and has low mileage but is an ex LR experience vehicle. It is lovely inside but it has some scrapes under the front/rear overhangs - all of which I am assured will be 'tidied up'
