No not at the moment. But there are some steel plugs that show lots of rust and the floor cross brace channel is very badly corroded.Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch ๐

When you say corroded, is it serious depth corrosion or just surface rust. Others have said the same but when investigated it turned out to be suprficial surface rust.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I suspect deep pitting will ne the outcome. I havent had a go at it yet as I am repairing my spare wheel winch at the moment. The reason for going under there in the first place.Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch ๐

So I have cleaned it up. It looked a lot worse than it really is though the corrosion is widespread with lots of missing electro coating (paint).
What is the best method for preservation? I am thinking redoxide anti corrosion primer then hamerrite then waxoil.
Anyone else done it and what were the results.

Take a look at this thread to compare what you found with what was under my 2009 when the body came off:
The car works quite hard, and the Dinitrol is still doing well, albeit after 8 months of this:
I found the worst of the rust was on the plating around the spare wheel depression on the body - the chassis was not too shabby at all.Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE and 2013 MY D4 HSE

It is much easier to apply if you warm it first - I sat the tub in a bowl of hot water before using itCurrently 2009 Disco 3 SE and 2013 MY D4 HSE

60,000 dollar question
Is it better to clean up, zink prime and paint the rust then waxoil/dintrol. Or is it better to just clean up then waxoil/dintrol so that it can soak into the rust.
My preference would be the redoxide type approach then the waxoil/dintrol is the belt and braces inside the box sectionsDiscovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch ๐

Sadly with rust nothing can stop it, but you can slow it down and I would be getting the worst off and chassis waxing it, not Waxoyl as its carp!

I wouldnโt worry about the rust. The big expensive spinning thing in the front will go PT before the rust has done its stuff.

I have surface rust only on mine but have been โresearchingโ what to put there to make it last. I donโt anticipate a crank failure either (knock, knock)

Well alll done, Maybe not the best but the best I can do. Scrubbed all the rust with a wite brush, chipping hammer and a chisel. Painted everything with zink primer. Hammerited the fuel tank protector, and finally because I have the equipment waxoiled everything too. Did some of the inside of the chassis with wax but didnt have the right bit for that so maybe come back to it..Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch ๐
