[For Sale] 2008 TDV6 HSE, Java Black, Almond leather

Land Rover Discovery 2.7 TDV6 HSE Automatic in Java black with Almond leather interior.

180,100 miles, full service history, 12 months MOT, offers in the region of £5,350

This was the top spec available at the time, and comes with every conceivable option - 7 seats, TV, headlights that point round corners, heated leather seats, climate control, air suspension etc. etc.

It has 12 months MOT (until 1 Feb 2020), and it passed the test with no advisories

It has a full service history, the most recent of which included the cambelt and HPFP change for the second time. It had a new (genuine LR) oil pump fitted at the first cambelt change. Since having had a new gearbox at 86,585 miles, I have changed the gearbox oil at every service. I have the service book with every stamp in it, and the last 3 years of my ownership include;

It runs and drives exactly as it should, with no warning lights or error messages. The gearbox changes smoothly and with all functions working as they should, as does the high/low transfer box, and the handbrake. The air suspension works exactly as it should, raising and lowering and not losing pressure even when parked up for an extended time.

Having had all 8 (4 front and 4 rear) suspension arms replaced, it drives and steers nicely. The last service included new brake pads front and rear.

Its has a full glass panoramic roof, the front section of which opens electrically. Combined with the almond leather seats, it makes for a very light and airy interior. There are no rips or tears in the leather, which has been cleaned and nourished with Autoglym regularly. The driver's seat does have slight creases and wear marks, but nothing unsightly. The seats are heated, and the front ones adjust electrically. The driver's seat has 3 memories, which includes adjusting the steering wheel and wing mirror positions. The rear privacy glass is factory original. It is generally in excellent condition, but there is very slight wrinkling on the near side rear window. The carpets are all good, with carpet overmats in each footwell, and genuine Land Rover rubber mats fitted too. There is a waterproof liner for the boot.

The tyres are good, all 4 having 4mm or so tread left on them.

The only non-standard feature of the car is a split-charge system we had fitted. When we went camping we found the interior lights / I-phone charging / TV watching flattened the battery. The split charge system is a second battery which is kept isolated when the engine is not running, meaning that there is always a full charge to start the car. It is a fully automatic system with the second battery in the engine bay. Until you need it, you would never even notice it was fitted.

The only features of the car that don't work are the CD player and the FBH. The 6 disc changer gurgles and whirrs, but won't let you feed any discs in. It has never bothered us as we just connect an MP3 player to the AUX in socket. The FBH developed a slight water leak on the pump housing. It was bypassed 2 years ago, and I honestly haven't noticed the difference.

Viewing is highly recommended - the car is 5 minutes away from Junction 10 of the M25. Effingham Junction Railway station is very close by, and I can meet anyone off the train. Test drives are welcome - if you want to drive you will need to show me fully comp insurance that covers you to drive it, otherwise I am more than happy to take you out for a demo. I have 2 keys and the V5 in my name.

It is in good condition, and has been cared for very well, but please do bear in mind that it is 11 years old and has done 180,000 miles. It has been our family car and has taken us camping, across Europe skiing, and to work and school every day - never ever letting us down.

Please call me on 07585 972018 if you have any questions or would like to come to view it. This is a private sale, and is sold as seen with no warranty given or implied. The car is free from lien.

Offers in the region of £5,350 please.

Thank you.
