[For Sale] D3 HSE steering wheel with airbag £30
Have for sale my old steering wheel which does have some wear as per the pics it will also come with all the switches and the airbag £30 and DHL is £12 if anyone wants it socially distanced posted! It was a to get off just the one side so I had to make the hole bigger on the rear panel luckily though the rear panel is a separate part with just four screws holding on the rear panel/ cover so you can swap your own over to this wheel.

Well I did the D4 steering wheel upgrade on my last D3 with the upgraded boards so I consider myself to be an experienced airbag / steering wheel remover 8) But this one side would just not catch and even when I could see where the release tool was going after enlarging the hole I would have never had gotten it off because even then it was a struggle to force the tool up behind the release pin.D3HSE Silver - D3SE Black - D3HSE Black - D4.5 Green Overland

bet the air turned blue and worse when u can’t actually see that bar
Did find some better pics of the different air bag release tools , found it easier with the tool towards u in that channel And the longer one considerably easier
Plus as u have the battery disconnected when I remove the airbags I found it easier by pressuring down whilst then pulling the pin
As they say always easier in hindsight
