[For Sale] Land Rover Rechargeable Torch + Trim Panel
For sale I have my Land Rover torch, purchased as part of a group buy in 2016 (£90).
Full working order, as although it’s been fitted in the car it’s hardly been used. Everything you need is included and it’s very easy to fit, you simply remove the plug from the rear of the 12v socket and join it back up with the included cable, which came with the torch.
Trim panel also included (not much help if you have a black interior!) as my cutting skills leave a lot to be desired, so I’d ordered an extra one.
Looking for £40 plus £5 postage.
There will be some other bits being sold soon, as regrettably it’s time for my D4 to find a new home

Are these torches still available new? Or, an equivalent, which can be left on permanent charge.

Treetrimmer there are plenty of rechargeable torches on fleabay etc, or you can still get these direct from LR if your willing to pay £200 for a pocket torch
I really like the concept of an "ever present" torch, in an integrated holder. However, I don't think it's worth £212!!
I would have thought there was quite a market for a torch plus "receptacle", just needing to be inserted into a suitable trim panel and connected to a switched 12 volt supply. Hopefully there's an energetic entrepreneur watching this topic!

The original VW Touareg came with a mini torch that just sits in the socket and charges. They've lasted years and I have 1 in each car. I'm sure they were quite expensive - about £20 but looking on eBay to put a link here, they're over £502003 Discovery 2 V8 GS

I have one in the garage somewhere. It's not a complete kit but has charging doc and torch. Have marked out an aluminium plate for the rear attachment and have parts for a wiring loom but just not got around to fitting it. Not sure I ever will Discovery 4 HSE - Aintree Green
