not the best 2 angle 3x2 2 holes to bolt to bach of the hitch and 2 holes to go to the pin you need to get a measurement from the back plat to the center of the recovery eye need 16 mm pin in there with a polybush spacer in it you will have to drill the polybush i hope this makes senseHome of RLD Hidden winch mounts Spare wheel Locks Trailer Body Fabrication [email protected] D3/4 sump plates MY 14 sump plates and the Discovery Sport wheel protectors Discovery 5 wheel locks

Mine also sits in front of the eye, the dixon bate coupling plate is just pulled hard against the outside of the recovery eye with the bolts through the bar. I have a 10mm spacer plate to keep it parallel with the bottom fixing. It really was very easy! It's not easy to get a pic as it's all tucked away but I'll have a go...Off Roading is OK.... But I'd rather be Boating!

Spacer makes sense. Your DB coupling plate means you can bolt straight through the backplate, whereas Bodsy and I can't. We'll need a sideways bolt/pin behind the backplate.
Polybush sounds 8) Think I might know somewhere to source them from too Why didn't you just use solid bar, Ray? And have you got a working link for the pic? Disco 5 HSE Lux

how have you got the trailer level.
the bottom of the ring on my trailer sits at 640mm above the ground when level and the hitch sits at 540mm, so when hitched the trailer chassis tilts forward quite a lot Duncan

i have D3 17inch 245/70's - I cant get the hitch any higher or it will damage the tailgate - perhaps the eye on the trailer is higher than normal Duncan

650mm is about right for a level trailer - but I cant get the hitch any higher than 540 - 550mm without stopping the tailgate opening properly !Duncan

I had mine lowered 100mm and extended 600 mm as the hitch is low on the 110 crossmember, could you the same process in reverse to gain the 100mm you need?, you then can mount a watertank and spare wheel on the front as well
