SAT. NAV. and VOICE COMMAND

On a few cars ( like mine TDVS HSE PP alpine) the wiring to the sat navigation get stuck under the seat .This gives message "sat nav. not installed" and the voice command is not working. My dealer had two cars with this problem and he fixed it by loosening the wire. Now it is ok.

My new SE has been in the shop for a little over 4 weeks now. (Its spent more time in the shop than on the road !) The problem has been in the nav system - no voice command and some screen display options would not work. The 'buttons' on the screen would be there, but touching them wouldn't do anything. - - - My local shop replaced the controller under the seat, the display screen, the gps antenna and cabling. - - - They called me today saying they got everything to work and I think the last thing they worked on was the cabling again. Sounds like it might be similiar to the situation that you had. - - Happily I live in a state in the USA with a very strong "Lemon Law". One definition of a 'lemon' vehicle is one that has been out of service for more than 30 days for warranty repairs. Under our states law the manufacturer is required to provide a new replacement vehicle or buy back the old one. Hopefully, all the problems are solved now. - - -

Hello all, I am a new member with a TDV6 SE.
My problem is with voice recognition. I have the PTI and voice recognition works fine with the phone. However, I cannot use voice recognition with the radio or sat nav. My fear is that as I have the SE, then voice recognition for the sat nav and radio is not enabled or even an option.
Another unrelated problem is with the lazy seats. When I read the manual, it tells me that this option needs to be configured by my LR dealer. By the way, they want to charge me to enable what is a specified feature.
Any thoughts?

I think that the voice control of the navigation only comes with the Premium version - not standard in the SE. The PTI module includes its own voice control software for the telephone.

Lazy seats? Do you mean Lazy Entry? That is a user settable option from the settings menu. It works by memorising seat and mirror settings based on the key fob used to open the vehicle.
