sat navigation voice has stopped

Can anyone help please or is it a visit to the dealers. Our new SE has only done 500 mile but the voice has stopped working on the sat nav. We have programmed the route and all is ok, except when the radio turns down to give you a message there is no voice. I have held the speaker button in the bottom right hand corner and increased the sat nav volume to 10 but still no change. In settings it is set for voice at all times. Any ideas please, regards, Chris

Mine is now silent since the dealer 'did something'?
I actually prefer it like that - as the voice dosn't kick in when on the hands free phone.
But, when I press the button on the bottom corner, the voice kicks in for that instruction only.
Are you getting nothing at all?
Are you pressing the button when no instruction would be given anyway - try at a junction etc when directions are programmed in?

In your sat nav settings there is an option for voice on/off - its the small orange box in the right hand side bottom of screen.
D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

sat nav

Ive tried the button at the bottom right hand corner and know how to turn the voice on or off. What Ive now done is to remove the disc from the unit under the seat, re load and re set and all now seems to be fine. Thanks very much for your suggestions, enjoy the rest of the weekend, all the best, Chris.

Mine's been off since the first time she started to get on my t*ts. If only SWMBO had a similar 'off' button. Whistle

...chris ace

I had all picture & no sound for about 12 hours when trying to get the voice recognition working
Flushed with the success of speaking softly I tried every command there was...& at some point it just packed in....the wife reckons Kylie got peed off & just wouldn't speak. I tried all the controls in the nav menus.....no voice.

Also tried switching engine/system on /off & changing languages...still no fix
I seem to recall posting a query on here & tried all the fixes advised.....most of which I'd tried before

I don't know what I did but the voice re appeared a day later....since then all has been OK

If you get a fix please post the route to re voicing the system I & I'm sure others would be pleased to know
PS Ive tried swearing using the voice recognition this doesn't work
