Satnav screen with android app
Hello to everyone. After a long time and many ideas I find perfect solution. I decidet to remove original satnav screen and disc unit, becouse, for me is absolutly unusefull, maps for my country are old, no POI's......, exept 4x4 info, but this is also visible on dashboard. I'm looking a few months and find on e-bay perfect solution. 7 inches double DIN radio reciver with integrated camera input, android 5.1 with all, what you wish to upload from google app store, gps reciver, bluetooth for phone and music, USB input, video player, Wi-FI reciver......
From this reciver output, I conect on AUX input on original head unit and everything works perfect.
Here are a couple of photos....

Powered is from head unit-paralel, that's mean, when you switch "off" head unit the second new one is also off.
The space is the same dimensions than screen from new unit. It is necessary to make some very small corections.

Looks great. How have you connected into the speakers?
Have you disconnected the plug on back of original head unit and connected to new one, or paralleled them together?
Looks good. Does it support DAB radio and can you plug a DVD player into it? Have you had any issue with it?

Looks like a good alternative to replacing original head unit, i assume its running in parallel with original unit and audio uses the original aux. input ?
Pity it doesnt have DAB+.

Sorry for delay. Conected is directly on AUX input on original unit. New unit have also AUX output. There is no new wiring for speakers. New unit are conected as any other audio component....Ipod, external media player...

I thik that is new model with DAB reciver also on the market. More than month is working without problems.
Of course this is still second unit and I dont need it for listening radio stations. Becouse I didnt use amplifier from this unit, I can't confirm what is quality of sound.

I have been searching thru ebay and can find similar units but none as compact as this with DAB+, if i can find one i will fit it to my D3 as i dont have satnav and miss the USB/SD input of my old stereo.
