Screeching rear end

Hi from New Mexico, USA.

I posted the following at Land Rovers Only to no response. Not having much luck there or at Land Rover Forums with my electrical woes either. Although, I've yet to take the plunge and buy the GAP tool.

I have new rotors and pads all around but, due to a screeching from the rear when forwarding and reversing slowly, I'm guessing the parking brake was not adjusted after the service (previous owner). After purchase, I noted one Voss air line to a rear strut was easily pulled out, which I fixed, and the air lines to the front valve block were inserted into the wrong ports--so I'm noticing a bit of a trend here.

On one occasion when reversing the red parking brake light flashed on the cluster for a millisecond, so this seems pretty clearly to be the noise issue. I've read of "squealing like a stuck pig" on here but that pertains to the lever that engages or disengages the parking brake.

I will work on the adjustment myself, I'm just posting to ensure that this is the likely culprit. According to the Bodsy Bible, adjustment of the drum brakes is necessary after disc replacement. I am just unclear at this point about the adjustment--turning the star upwards or downwards and how many clicks.

Thanks for clarification.
