Screeching rear parking sensors.

Hello All,
Occasionaly, when selecting reverse in my auto Disco 3, as well as the normal warning bleep, I sometimes get a long screech from the speaker. This lasts several seconds and the stops. When this happens the proximity warning does not work. It may occur several times in a row and then not reoccur for a week or so. Any thoughts on how to cure this ?

Thanks,

Gunner

Broken wire in loom in rear bumper. Possibly only manifesting its self into a problem when the ambient temperature is causing the wires to expand or contract enough to make a gap in the wire??

Rear Parking sensors.

Thanks for your reply.

It is an answer which had not occurred to me and I will check at the first chance I get.

Thanks again.

Gunner.

I've noticed that if dirt or leaves sometimes cover one or more of the detectors, a quick wipe cures the problem.

Hi BarryT,

Thanks for your reply.

You are probably right as it is very difficult to keep the sensors (and the rest of the car) clean at this time of year.

I will keep a keen eye on them .

Thanks again,

Gunner.
