Cannot quite work out where this is.... but looking at the threaded hole in the recess is it where the seat belt catch goes? In which case is it the connection to that so it khows the seatbelt is fastened (or not)?

Dont think so Richard. This is the outside of the passenger seat. The start of the belt bolts in here alright - the sensor to tell if its being used is in the buckle on the other side beside the centre console.
Its just when I fitted the drivers seat I dont recall seeing this connector A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

It already looks much different than my seats... I don't have a switch on the top like in the picture. What does that do?2005 LR3 HSE - ARB Bumper, Warn XD9000, Custom Rock Sliders and Skid Plates, BBS Faultmate MSV-2 Extreme, Kenwood TMD-700, etc, etc,

if thats the seat then what are all the cable in the background, what is the orientation of this pic?Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!
That big gap where the connector is showing is where the buttons and switches are on mine. Is it possible it was for that?2005 LR3 HSE - ARB Bumper, Warn XD9000, Custom Rock Sliders and Skid Plates, BBS Faultmate MSV-2 Extreme, Kenwood TMD-700, etc, etc,

NDD, I believe that switch is the lumbar support control. I only have manual seats at present so when I swap this 'new' one in I'm hoping it all works
Pop, I have the cushion off the seat so thats why you can see all the other bits

The button top left of the first pic is for the lumbar support so that connector could well be for it.
If you haven't got the button/connector on the drivers side seat it looks like you've got the seats out of a LHD D3, have you got the memory buttons on either seat? The End

Had a quick look at the passenger seat in mine tonite. My seat is a basic electric one ie no memory and manual lumbar support. There's no wiring behind the panel. I suspect it might relate to the electric lumbar support switch in the picture?
Have to admit I'm guessing what your connector does but hope the info about my seat helps.
Best wishes
Richard

Slimer, it hasnt got the memory buttons on this passenger seat so thinking its from a RHD alright. MY 'drivers' seat is from a pair I bought out of a LHD car but the drivers seat in that set was damaged so I was on the hunt for just a passenger seat - gets confusing eh
Richard, thanks for looking
The lumbar support button has a connector going into it already so dont think its that.
I have seen somewhere that some cars had a connector & wires coming from under the carpet at the seat area, I wonder is that what I'm missing and what should go in to this connector?A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Jesus that looks like a brave thing to do, SWMBO wants to know if it still works and and screws/nuts left over as I'm always having spares Experience is a difficult teacher, because she gives the test first and then the lesson afterwards!!!!
