sensor température ext

hi
Is there a relationship between the exterior temperature sensor and the inability to adjust the heating in the passenger compartment, ie to regulate between the air conditioning and the heating. where it's cold or it's hot
thank's

its behind the front bumper. But the dash reading tells you its working.

You can get problems on winters days.

For example if its 3°C in the morning. You drive to work and park up.

Then at 4pm you get in the car with the sun beating down, the temp sensor lag still thinks its around 3°.
for 10 minutes or so.

But that is a specific senario

The in-vehicle temperature sensor is located in dashboard and early vehicles suffered from problems with the heating system compensating for the temperature in the dashboard not the cabin. A modification consisting of a small pad of insulation foam was made. To check if this modification has been made the ventilation grill to the right of the steering wheel (edit on rhd vehicles), has to be removed by pulling. Classic symptom cold air being delivered into a cold car. Any help?
