I just had a flash of inspiration whilst contemplating the forum earlier Stu.
Hey ho, it made me chuckle...actually, it still is
I did brave the trip today as it happens...took 90mins to get there (few learners out being overtaken by grannies on mobility scooters) and 2 sodding hours to get home.
Some div decided to put their car in a ditch alongside the A327, a nice straight bit too. No idea how they did it.
I was 3 cars away from getting past when the Police decided it would be a good idea to recover it rather than leave til after the traffic had died down so spent the next 25 minutes waiting there for the 's with the trailor to do their stuff.
Wasn't like anything else was going to hit it, the thing was 20ft off the road! More chance of crashing into the 100 abandoned cars between the Black Boy pub and Maidens than anything else.
