When was it last serviced?
Could be it ran slightly over the last service date & when re-set will only come on 15k milesafter. Bodsys Brake Bible

It may not be 15k since last service but may be worth getting it done anyway just to align everything up.
I have just been sorting out all my receipts. This is what i paid if its a helpful guide.
15K £232.07 inc VAT - Std Service
30K £560.12 in VAT (inc break pads and sensors, EPB strip down clean and adjust)
45K £303.71 - Std Service
60K £465.49 inc VAT (inc EPB strip down clean and adjust , changing all Brake pads and changing Diff Oil)
75K £397.36 inc VAT (inc change rear locking diff oil) : - Std Service Duncan

For the first 15,000 miles I had to top up with a few pints. but after that I havtn had to put any in. I would imagine you should be ok but its always worth doing the check just in case Duncan

How Many services has it had ?
Fairly low miles for an 05 model - so it could have been serviced on TIME not on mileage in the past. IIRC it's 15k or 12 months interval which ever is the sooner . . . "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

It is Nov 2004, will check service book, it came from a LR dealer. Also a member of avforums.com

Guys when i turn the key on it says service -1500 which i assume means it neeeded a service 1500ks ago but then on my odometer it has service 45 , does anyone know what the 45 means? my disco has done 91000kms.

Silly question on the same theme... 
Is it always 15,000 miles or 12 months after the last service or is it related to the actual milage of the car? (15,30,45,60k etc.) I ask because I think mine got out of sync. The first 15k service came up quickly but the car wasn't used much for the next year. Second service was 1 year after the first and now I've started using the car again the 15k services are not related to the actual milage of the car - if you see what I mean. I'm confusing myself now - I'll get my coat!

Mine is set to the actual milage .I know this as i had the first service at 17000 miles ...the service light came on at 32000 G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

After my 30k service, the service indicator came on as I approached the 12 month mark, so the next service was carried out at 42k, so I assumed that it was set at 15k or 12 months whichever came first. As you slide down the banister of life

Unfortunatly ...mine has at least 2 services a year ..so i will never know if the "12 months" option is there on mine  G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
