Some people have been able to use the onboard controls(trip reset button,Ignition switch[on a diesel]) to reset the SII.
I would like to know the config to enable this.

I am fairly certain (and therefore probably wrong) that the SII can only be reset by dealers or someone with the appropriate software. Too much intellectual firepower can damage your common sense.

I'm also fairly certain (but probably wrong) that it's not a diy fix. As you slide down the banister of life
