Service Required
had my LR4 a couple of months its done 42500 mls approx and the service required notice is showing on startup. I presume it needs done but what service will it be I didnt get the service manual and any idea of the cost please
Did you buy from a LR Dealer or from a private or other trade vendor?
What was the reason given for the lack of service history?
How many previous owners?
Have you any MoTs or have you checked mileage from DVLA MOT history website?

one previous owner Land Rover manager down South, the garage is an approved Land Rover dealer and its immaculate inside and out they were moving to larger premises and had misplaced the service book I have everything else and they are looking for it still as the garage is close to my home address will pop in and see what they have to say just wondered why now 42500ish seems a strange number

A 2010MY is likely to be its 5th year/80k mile service 8)
Though if in doubt, do a B service, along with transfer box oil, covers everything that should be done and give you a starting point for its next service My D3 Build Thread

The LR dealer who sold you the car should be able to obtain a proper replacement service book restamped by the LR garages that completed the previous services. I agree with Mikey that establishing a base line by having a B service now is a good plan for peace of mind.
I've had my D4 a couple of weeks and it was given an "oil service" by the dealer I bought it from but regardless I'm off to my mates garage on Friday to do F&R diff oil changes, transfer box, engine oil and all filters so I know where I stand D4 GS 12MY

He's doing that I went to see him yesterday and he should me the paperwork for the service they did before i purchased the car im told that they forgot to cancel the warning for the service
I would ask for, and he should be able to get, details of all services, recalls & other work done on your car - the "paper trail" is important.

hell! I hope you got a good price from them. I'd certainly be pulling out the filters to check they've been changed. It doesn't sound like they are running the tightest ship.VIN: A175A328***

That will £600 minus the £60-70 worth of parts and the mechanic working on it for the full 45 mins. Good work if you can get it.
