From the maintenance check sheet
Quote:
Adjust/Lubricate/Replace - Labour cost included in scheduled time except items marked *
Check - After the checking procedure, cleaning, adjusting, repairing or replacing is subject to extra labour and material cost
Items changed on a time not mileage basis are not included in dealers menu pricing
As a guide, I can provide servicing at your location from £300 inc vat for an A service and £340 inc vat for a B service, prices are slightly higher dependent upon location outside of a 75 mile radius of Derby. Both services include an air filter change (unlike the LR schedule) and will not affect your warranty

Got to be honest. And in my limited capacity, I would now only provide my D3 for a service with TLO or TFC. I feel the honest and personal side of the service is just as important. I have followed threads on both you guys, and have had nowt but praise.
Given my last exploits with a dealer, I am more than happy to place my hard earned cash in TLO or TFC's hands knowing ok will be ok, and additionally keeping it DISCO3.co.uk. I would'nt bother personally wasting my time price matching with the worry of thinking what they omit just to keep the price keen.
But this is my opinion and my way of thinking

There's an EU ruling which basically says that non-franchised repairers can service vehicles to manufacturers specification without breaching the terms of warranty... unlike LR dealers, I provide a completed and signed-off maintenance check sheet with every service to confirm compliance with LR service schedules - it's the same one that dealers use but generally you never get to see it

Block exemption. Heard a nasty little rumor that this may be stopping in the next few years, meaning people will HAVE to go to a main dealer to keep warranty intact. Anyone else heard that?
Also noticed on 09MY D3 and RRS, the service reset procedure through the dash has been removed My D3 Build Thread
Didn't think you could actually reset the service indicator through the dash on any MY tbh . . . .
Many posts on it "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

What's your thinking behind a number of things being done earlier than LR specify I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

cos it needs a 90k service in Arpil, warranty runs out in July, 105k service probably not due until September and its been upto its A e in mud etc so belts etc perhaps should have been done under arduous service.
just got a feeling that belts could go before the 105k and after the warranty !!, plus diff oils etc not been replaced and given the state of the intercooler i took out dont want to take any chances
EDIT sorry for grammer, a few glasses of wine and whiskeys effect my typing Duncan
