Show me your headlights with DRL's fitted
Some one convince me not to face lift mine by showing me options for fitting DRL's to my xenon head lights
Thanks in advance Andy

I quite like the look of the D3 grille and lights as they are. Just turn dipped headlights on if you want lights on in daylight?2011 MY D4 HSE

I know it is not headlights, but LED halos in the fog lamps with a DRL controller is an option

Personally I do not understand why so many people are hung up on retrofitting DRL's
There is a basic flaw in the original DRL regulations. The flaw is quite simple, ignition on, front lights on but NO rear lights.
Hence you get the morons driving at night time with DRLs on but no rear lights on.
Simple solution is to have the rear lights ignition fed from the factory.
My solution is to drive on dip beam so rear lights are on.

DRL CANADIAN MARKET
DRL for this market use full intensity low beam headlamps. The side marker lamps, tail lights, and license plate lamps will be on, but instrument cluster illumination will be off.
NOTE:
When DRL are active, the headlamp flash function using the left hand steering column multifunction switch will operate normally. The high beam headlamp function using the left hand steering column multifunction switch will be deactivated.

I have followed various links on this, some, I think, are good.
The question I have is the following:
The Osram LEDriving DRL FOG101 ( as sold before by AF) that fitted the D3 were a popular choice. These are now not available but superceded by Osram LEDriving DRL FOG102. Apparently these fit a D4 but not a D3?
Can anyone explain the difference? Is it in the size of the light/lens or the electronics?
I can't find anything that explains this to me.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey (UK)

I've got LEDs in my sidelights and they do the job of DRLs when required. Plus it means I've got rear lights on as well.2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

DRL's and Philips X-treme HID +150
So I am gathering parts to do my blackout LED DRL/Turn signal mod, with De Tango. As I am in the US I will have to retain some reflector properties, and also will be adding Cornering lights to the SE as well.
My question to those who have painted the interior parts (Silver originally) is did the light reflectors work in your opinion as in reflecting the main beams, cornering lights, etc. the same when you painted them black? If not how much light do you think you lost?
I would assume the dipped beams were OK (projector beams) so not worried to much there, but was wondering especially about the cornering lights as I am adding those.
From what I see in researching the internet is that black painted rather than the silver light mirrors will perform almost the same as silver, because the light is "reflected" off the surface as long as they are glossy not flat painted.
Also if anyone is interested I found so Phillips X-treme Gen two HID bulbs on Amazon for $120/pair USD, this is the 4350 color not the pure white.

You need to leave the following areas as they are
Round main beam reflector
Side light oblong
Indicator oblong
