Side Mouldings
Anyone know where to get the double-sided tape stuff that is used to stick the side mouldings on? I bought a set of mouldings on eBay a while ago on the understanding that the previous owner had started fitting them and given up 1/2 way for whatever reason. Therefore, the tape on the mouldings that fit the front doors is either missing or has lost its stickiness. The rear ones are ok.No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

try your local body shop. I'd have thought its somthing they would use when refitting mouldings.

Typical. I was on a project up that way for 18 months and could have easily slipped out to collect the tape! Now in Amsterdam, so not quite such an easy lunchtime jaunt.

Many motorist shops sell this now. Halfords sell it.
Or use silicone sealant - my favourite glue for such things. It's flexible, so things stay stuck down in all temperatures and if you want to remove the item you can. You can then peel off the silicone. I use it for all sorts of things and it's better than glue in many cases and less damaging.Matt

to get the proper 3M stuff at a good price try your local bodyshop suppliers, CAS, Brown Brothers etc. They all do paint, tape etc at stupid prices - effectively if you walk in you are trade.... 8)"To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
