Side step brackets

Hi All

Does anyone know whether the side step brackets for d3/4 are available to purchase on their own? I have had a quick google search but to no avail.

Many thanks

I think your question is quite general since there are several diferent ways the side steps are bolted on.
If you find out who supplied the side steps you cold contact that supplier and ask for brackets only.

They are the genuine style brackets for the flat running board. I have bought a replacement set on ebay but they are of such poor quality they are virtually unusable. The step itself seems fine. Photo attached.

Seems that this is the bracket type i have momted on m D3, this brackets is installed on the chassis frame and works well when properly mounted.
I can without problem stand on my boards with full body weight.

The set I purchased were cheap, approx £110, unfortunately I have learnt my lesson because the brackets are awful. Paint is flaking off, not square or right angles, welds are poor and they do not fit properly. 2 are ok but the rest are a real struggle to get to line up with the holes and once bolted the outrigger supports are about 20mm too high! Just crap really

On my D4 2012 i have the original round pipe sidebars and the brackets for them are also some flimsy bad constructed brackets, theese are installed in the sill bolt holes under the plasric sill cover but are almost rusted away.
I guess for 100£ plus you just wont gets good quality.

Luck of the draw? My sidesteps were £110ish but the brackets look good. Not fitted them yet though as I had limited time and just fixed new steps to old brackets.

Bought cheap £100 steps for my D4 5 years ago and about 6 months ago my foot nearly went through step! I looked underneath and they had rusted to hell!
Bought another £100 set and stripped the plastic off and painted everything in hamerite. Then struggled with taking off old bolts that just broke off or rounded off. After many hours all replaced but wow did I spend some time on these 'cheap' side steps.
