Sidesteps - fitment, or rather removal
I pick up my D3 on Friday and want to remove the sidesteps. I could get the dealer to do this but I want to sell them on. Does anyone have fitting instructions for me to have a look at ?
Thanks,

You do know you are going to have holes in the plastic sill covers when you're done don't you?Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

I would be interested in the steps and we could swap the sills and I only live just up the road from you.

Right is same side that you sit in your D3 when you drive it In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Unfortunately he's not about for a while to 'appreciate' your helpful comments....
I can confirm the steps are a doddle to remove. 90 mins to do both. Trickiest bit is finding a Philips bit to fit the two screws in the rear wheelarch without removing the wheel. Even a stubby screwdriver is too long. You'll need either a socket wrench with screwdriver bit or something similar. I've got a right angled srewdriver thing from an Ikea flat pack that I use.Disco 5 HSE Lux

I am also interested in getting rid of my side steps but on the condition that whoever buys them swaps the sill trim....
