Sidesteps - fitment, or rather removal

I pick up my D3 on Friday and want to remove the sidesteps. I could get the dealer to do this but I want to sell them on. Does anyone have fitting instructions for me to have a look at ?

Thanks,
Nick

You do know you are going to have holes in the plastic sill covers when you're done don't you?

you could always sell them with the condition that the buyer swaps sills ...they are held on by about 8 clips ...piece off pi*s to remove ...

That way you get sills with no holes ..and buyer doesn't have to cut holes in there sills .

There may even be some one on here who would like some.

The clips that hold these on (which are very easy to break - Whistle ) are about 0.35p each

Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Unfortunately he's not about for a while to 'appreciate' your helpful comments....

I can confirm the steps are a doddle to remove. 90 mins to do both. Trickiest bit is finding a Philips bit to fit the two screws in the rear wheelarch without removing the wheel. Even a stubby screwdriver is too long. You'll need either a socket wrench with screwdriver bit or something similar. I've got a right angled srewdriver thing from an Ikea flat pack that I use.

I am also interested in getting rid of my side steps but on the condition that whoever buys them swaps the sill trim....

Anyone interested?
