Does the poll also need to reflect the 'S' is a manual or auto ????

Settings menu on my manual 'S' on the display behind the steering wheel (no fancy sat. nav. for me - I know I'm always directly above the centre of the Earth).

People,

Many thanks so far...

Manual or Auto does not matter.

So far 12 votes out of 250 members... surely more of you are as poor as us 12 and have an 'S' so contribute with my research ??

So far I still seem to be the only one who voted with a no... which is good for me I guess in one respect or another. Adds to my argument.

Please keep on adding to this so I can pressure the dealer and more importantly LR to get the parts fitted that are required for me to have this standard feature (I obviously missed out on the production line somewhere).

Cheers,

-s

Simon,

German 'S' model has Setting Menu, but does not have steering control for audio as standard, thus I cannot access it.

Simon,

When the car is stationary and I press the 'i' button at the end of the stalk, I can go through the screens (outside temp only, outside temp + fuel consumption, remaining trip distance, etc) on the Message center. One of the screen is the 'Setting Menu' and it indicates on the screen that I can access it with the steering wheel audio control button '<< >>'.

Because I do not have the steering wheel audio control, as it is not standard on German 'S' model I cannot tell you what is in the menu.

Cheers, AN

UPDATE

OK... dealer has now got an answer from LRCS ref my Settings Menu. They will supply the Memory Seat Module at no cost, but they [LRCS] do not have the part number in order to supply said Memory Seat Module Rolling Eyes

Does anyone know the part number ? Kevin had this fitted some time ago (have emailed you ref this Kevin).

BN is on the case so anyone else wanna divvy up the infos for me ? Dealer has looked but I think its not listed as Memory Seat Module or something else logical.

Also anyone know exactly where its fitted ? Looked under Slimers seat the other week and we could see no difference with mine. It could be there but not connected of course ???

I have all the other requisites :-

Steering Wheel controls
Hi Line Message Centre
Hi Line Audio head Unit

All standard in the 'S' - as is the Settings Menu of course !

All help greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

-s

I have an S, I have the settings menu - included are functions such as auto dipping side mirrors for reversing (which isn't fitted) and the pre-heater / cooler which I also suspect will not be fitted.

Auto locking doors work well though Very Happy

The part number is proofing interesting as well. No one can find it. I was going to suggest asking Winger as he seems to have access to an updated data source. However, you should not have a module fitted to an 'S' model, that is from my LRCS contact.
