slow accelleration response {according to wife }

hi i wonder if you can advise on my landy the wife seams to think its a bit less responsive on the accelleration side could it be the auto gear box levels i dont think its any different but i dont drive it all the time any way it would be great if you can help cheers ian :P

Could be EGR. Does it hesitate and then really take off when it gets to about 2000rpm?
If so it's the above.
If you so get lots of black smoke, it could also be a split intercooler hose.

thanks i will try to check them out would the inter cooler pipe splitting give any other signs ?
