I have a 05 D3 TDV6 HSE, Drove to work this morning, no problem.
Started her up this afternoon and pulled away and noticed she was a bit sluggish. I pulled out of a junction and there doesn't seem to be much power , not like normal, vehicle does pick up after that. I have no warning lights or engine lights on, car starts and drives fine
Any idea's

I'd suggest egr v/vs as well, does it suddenly take of at 1500-2000rpm
I'd just blank them anyway on a 2005, if it fixes the prob another bonusThere is no I in team, but there are five in Individual Brilliance

Hey.
perhaps remove the oil deposits off the MAP sensor first as they can accumilate over time. Also clean the maf sensor with some maf sensor spray (which can also be used to clean the MAP). Blocking off the EGR is certanly a good way to go to reduce oily deposits in the intake.
Sometimes also the intercooler hose can slighly split which will cause loss of boost. I replaced mine some time ago.
Perhaps check the air filter as any excess dirt will cause poor running.
A few good tips is use the sport mode on the auto when driving around town. I didnt even know it existied until recently and I use it most of the time now, makes the car more responsive. Also turn the economy button on the AC as this turns off (to the best of my knowledge) the AC compressor.
I run big mud terrains (275/65/18) and my throttle response and low speed acceleration is still rather good for a 2.7tonne monster. The only mod I have is a remap from BAS, which probably overcomes the oversized tyres*Disco3 HSE with BAS remap

I go with the egr blanking.
Just had exactly the same on my 07.
Started getting sluggish pulling away and I just put it down to my imagination but it got worse then engine light came on.
I considered egr blanking but just had a new egr fitted then a month later same again as the other failed.
Bodsy came out blanked them off and did a remap.
It's like having a new car it actually revs up when you accelerate.
I wish I hadn't bothered getting the first one replaced what a waste of nearly the same amount of money as getting rid of them and a remap.
All sorted now, I changed the fuel filter as it needed one anyway, that wasn't the problem.
It was the EGR V/Vs, I've now blanked them and its like a new car,

Hi,
I'm suffering almost identical symptoms as the thread starter. I go to pull away out of junctions & nothing happens for what seems like eternity, realistically it's only a couple of seconds.
It's always been slow but seems to be worse lately. No faults being thrown, Map sensor cleaned, MAF sensor replaced. One EGR replaced less than 12 months ago. The other isn't that old either & never shown any issues. Fuel filter replaced less than 12 months ago.

Any thoughts on what to prod & poke?

Sounds like the same problem that I had,
Mine was an intercooler pipe that had split, I struggled so took it to a Landrover garage, they fit an egr blanking kit as I'd done a temporary blanks at home and replaced this split pipe. £140 all in and its as good as new
Hope this helps
