Small Extra ! That could save you thousands
Just had a modification/extra fitted to the disco, that maybe some people would be interested in knowing if they are planning any trips to Austria this winter for skiing and taking the disco to see what it can do in the snow.
In Austria they have quite a major problem in the mountain villages and ski resorts with a small animal that likes to climb into a nice warm engine bay at night when it’s cold, it’s called a Pine Martin.
No problem with this, however when it wakes up in the night and feels a little hungry it will chew and eat rubber hoses, electrical wiring and anything else that takes its fancy.
The solution is a Pine Martin shock system, please note this does not kill them only lets them know that they are not welcome!
It’s a small install around the engine bay with around ten steel disks that are mounted on a cable, when the engine is off and the doors are locked it enables all these disks to become live with around 200 Volts DC. When the animal touches one it gets a shock and will hopefully run away and not cause a few thousand pounds worth of damage to your pride and joy, or in worse cases a fire!
It cost around 350 Euros for the disco and is well worth it, as I hear them most nights running around on the roof and bonnet of the car.
Just thought I would post this to save any expensive ski holidays becoming even more expensive!

Good tip daveh
Would this work as well around the spare wheel
I would love to see some thieving scroat get 'surprised' by 220 volts DC

Field mice I think. Luckily they only ate the sound proofing and nothing else. You should have smelt the car once they'd discovered it and disturbed all the droppings!
