I take the contrary view Dean.
If the scumbags are aware that they have been "twigged" they are more likely to choose an easier, and less risky target.
I would suggest that Landroverfan1 should seriously consider fitting a tracker.

Will obtaining a device which locks off the O.B.D. port categorically prevent this type of theft?
Since a number of nearby Land Rovers were stolen in a single night, I purchased a steering wheel locking bar AND double lock the car ( I believe double locking prevents the doors being opened even if the glass is broken).
However, it is a bit of a pain having to fit the locking bar every time, and I would prefer to install an OBD port lockable cover, if I was convinced it would prevent easy theft.
Anyone able to provide advice?
P.M. me if you think advice shouldn’t be handed out over the net.
Regards, Richard ( currently still in possession of his D4)

just unclip the ODB port and turn it back (fold the cable). With the door doble locked when someone reaches it there will be no ODB port for them to plug into. They would have to get the bottom panel off to get it. OK they could do this but its more hassle and they are likely to go elsehwhere.
Its a simple action for you.

Car going to be in the garage for a few days as another D4 was also broken into and also needs a new module! The guy also told me there has been a spate of rear D4 lights being nicked. 2014 D4 HSE Lux

ISTR reading in the manual(honest) if you lift the cup holders out, there is a lever that you can pull to put the drive into neural to allow towing if you can’t start the engine, now that would really pee the off and probably wake everyone up with them revving the engine and going nowhere. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
