Ski trip planned, so needs a way to fit my ski's.
Thanks to local thule vendor, we came up with the right roofbars that fit on top of the roofrack

Needed extra rims for winter tyres. Goodyear ultragrip.
Needed a good clean

Broke a wheel nut (a 23mm 12-sided nut wil slip around Big Cry )

Snow chains.
Only on front, to little space, ... endless info.
Weisenfells clack and go

for show on both axles Cool , less than 2 min for both chains

front clearance is very tight, if needed will fit on rear axle (and risk the bad steering/braking. On my alfa 156 crosswagen Q4 only rear was allowed, never needed chains.

Apparently you can't remove spare without removing towbar, but no keys.
This numbers is familiar from my volvo D6 towbar, ordered a new key. Only hope 1D19 will fit, maybe there's a stuck/broken key inside?

Car was built by Landrover Metropool Merksem. Added flashlights. Orange buttons are flash front/flash rear/winch on-off. No idea what circular button is on left. But i will contact the mechanic who once built it.

Has been a long time.
Discovery (almost)) doïng strong.

Snowy pics from the French Alps (Le Corbier)

Workhorse during summer. Lovely 3,5t towing capacity.

Rented this small monster, at <750kg you almost forget it's there, and yes, driveway is pretty steep!

I Don't like the black rims. Does anyone know the paint code on the original silver rims?

Transmission fault, only in the terrain response modes.
Vehicle lowers, turns back to "street". High or low range doesn't matter.

Landrover pointed it out to a weak battery, no result. Also one ABS sensor with damaged insulation changed (didn't give an abs fault while driving normally).
Anyone a suggestion where to look? Or where diagnostic advise to find?
Gearbox (auto ZF6HP) was revised about 25000km ago by previous owner.
Switching on/off resets the fault, but the slightest amount of traction loss (and activation of difflocks?) brings it back.

This pic is in mud/ruts on a very muddy and uneven field track

You will need to get it plugged in to a diagnostic machine to see what the fault codes say. The icarsoft is a good cheap tool to have and will save you money in the long run.

Good to see another G4 on here 👍
