Soft brake pedal on first press

Ive noticed over the past while the brake pedal is quite "soft" and feels like it has longer travel on the first press of each braking occasion. If i come off the brake and go back on again, the pedal feels firmer and i think it travels less. A short time period seems to be enough for this situation to be repeated again. Is this normal or could there be an issue with the servo or something else?

Thanks

Thanks. The pads are due replacement so will check the sliders then. Had one wheel bearing done and been surprised the other hasn't shown any signs of failure. Will take a closer look over the weekend and if nothing obvious will book her in.

does urs has anything to do with a recall notice, ref brakes

as mine is going into my local dealer on the 22nd nov , something about a pipe that may have oil in it, if it does they replace the entire brake servo

can't believe they are doing it under recall and FOC Thumbs Up

think this was it

Mine was the same , turned out to be a sticking caliper slider pin .

I think I already had the recall done some time ago. Must search and see if there is a brake calliper cleaning guide.
