Australia 2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 SE Auto Alaska WhiteDiscovery 4

Loved my D3, love my D4 even more and REALLY don't like the look of the Toyota at all. But 1500km to the nearest Dealer? Sounds tough.
On the bright side, service interval for the D4 Diesel is 24,000km.
I paid 89,500 for a white D4 with high beam assist and rear diff lock - not $95,000 - which makes it much affordable than the Toyota. But then - I haven't tested the Landcruiser - put simply I liked my D3 so much that I ordered the D4 unseen and my first test drive was when I picked it up.
No regrets.
It rides much better and more car like - the 3 litre engine adds the extra oomph to make driving more fun. The D3 was so much better than my Prado Grande that I didn't even consider Toyota as an alternative anymore.
At this stage the only issue I have is that sometimes the rear windows will not go up automatically - i have to continuously press the button to get them to close. Seems to be a software issue which comes and goes and doesn't really bother me - except it's an expensive car, and if they add this as a new function in the D4 it should work (apparently software update IDS 119-01 (v.19) fixes this).
Also when picking up the car one of the blinker connections was loose which was fixed promptly by the dealer. But I am so much closer to them.
With the dealership that far away however I think I would have decided against the D4 no matter how much I like it though.

Well, hmmm, maybe anyway ...
Prado Grande --> D3 --> D4 ... its getting better all the time Smile

Hello Rass, I loved the D3 and I love D4 ....
but 1500 km are so many!

In any case the choice you make is the wrong one! Big Cry Big Cry

With Toyota's left in your heart the d4 and risks of not enjoying it all the way
If you have problems with D4 curse you for your choice

But if you do not have problems with the D4?? You're the happiest man in the world!! Mr. Green Mr. Green

Ciao, Diego from Italy Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
