Would someone be kind enough to look at my list of faults?

well that hose that comes up from the bottom (on drivers side) can split near the top. However this usually creates black smoke from exhaust.

If chasing the MASS fault code. There is the pipe that runs across the engine/radiator at the front (from the air meter/box). I would however suspect it to be more of an electrical issue myself.

At this age/millage its silly not to replace the oil pump. I think they cost £120 from advanced factors. + seal and crank bolt.

It will hopefully make the engine quieter, and strengthened cambelt tensioner mount.
Need to be careful fitting the seal.
Best to get a genuine seal from landrover if you have one near by.

Good info, thanks.
Luckily I have a huge LR showroom/garage less than a mile away from a very reputable indie garage.
Unluckily for me they aren't open till the 2nd. Will be driving round in fear of a belt snapping for a little while.
I'll approach the garage with this list thanks guys

got another symptom yesterday.
I noticed that the revs are surging a little, it is very subtle but the needle is moving up and down.
Mostly seemed to be happening at about 50 mph and when the engine is cold.
I also may have felt a wobble when accelerating, this was gone as quickly as i noticed it.

could this all be due to a faulty MAF?
P0100-00 (2F) Mass or volume air flow circuit

Also does anyone know where I can get a mega flush done in cumbria?

Hopefully that will help, however not long after mine did that I had to recon the gearbox. It may be worthwhile just getting the Torque converter done.

humm that's not good.

@50mph could be the torque convertor in the gearbox.
Fluid change is a good idea, as it appears to be early stages

Can you get the torque converter changed without draining the oil?
I.E would it make sense to get the oil done first?

I might start a new post asking for flush locations near me

I'm sure you like getting your hands diry. Laughing

The economical thing to do is change all the oil yourself.

Undo the gearbox sump to drain oil.
Undo the gearbox cooler line to the radiator (passenger side)

Connect a bit of pipe to it (well) and run it to a 5 litre container.
Run engine for around 20 seconds to pump the oil out to TC. (or until it stops coming out)
Refit sump plug

Now you need to get new oil in.

Either pump under pressure into the RADIATOR end.
or gravity or large syringe into the gearbox level plug.

Avoid red oil.
Use something like

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RAVENOL-AUTOMATI...Swe-FU3zew

gonna need at least 6 litres.

Then if you need a specialist to look at the gearbox, you haven't wasted loads of money

to fill thru level plug

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AK46-Sealey-Oil-...SwPAxZ~LT5

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silverline-Meta...Swc-tY5Ppp

will also be useful for transfer box

There are various methods.
I've outlined my favorite above Laughing

I wouldn't bother changing the filter personally.

1) If you need a recon gearbox, you will get one anyway.
2) they are a pain to do and leak.
3) The mega flush people don't Rolling Eyes

If you go down the DIY route, I will give you some more tips on refilling.

don't know.

If you find out let me know though.

For less than £100, you can change the oil and hopefully get some more use out of it.
Got some more miles on it still

Thanks Pete, I'll probably start pestering you again soon when I get to changing the oil.
I ordered a service kit so I'll probably try and get it all done at the same time.
Cheers

Got another question, sorry.
The live value of the mass air flow sensor A is 0.0g/s this remains the same even if i rev my engine.
Does this suggest that my MAF is goosed?
And is it wishful thinking to hope that this will cause the rev surges I'm getting?

Also Would you mind setting my mind at ease and taking a look at my injector balances?
Cylinders:
1=971
2=893
3=1135
4=992
5=1008
6=894

Thanks again

The fuel filter is next to the gearbox, so that can be done when the under tray is off.

Yeah MAF looks goosed.

It may or may not fix the rev problem. Have to wait and see. You ordered one didn't you?
Won't take long to fit and new air filter too.

Don't understand injector values yet Laughing
