Someone rear ended my d3 what to get the garage to check

My wife got rear ended last week (no by me Confused ) she was static slow speed shunt

D3 has no damage apart from fine scratches on to eye cover

However I think the alignment is off its unstable above 40 and got a brake warning

The drivers insurance has told me I can get them to take it to one of their approved garage or my preference by dropping a hire car and pick mine up to get it checked

I will ask them to take it to my nearest dealer and ring them to ensure it gets a good inspection

Any advice what I should be getting checked?

Possibe damage to the parking sensors. (Could be worth a check).
Remove the plastic bumper for a better inspection.
The brake warning light could mean the handbrake needs looking at.
Unstable above 40mph could be down to worn bushes or steering rack ends/ball joints.

Take it to a garage that already knows what to check. Thumbs Up

Most importantly is your wife ok?
Maybe get four wheel alignment done and if something is way off it’ll be a starting point for further inspection

Had a similar shunt a few years back - slow speed impact

Rear wheel carrier took the hit (and stoved in the front of the car that hit me) so damage looked minor - lightly scratched bumper, broken reflector etc.

However, I took it to an LR indie and had them check it over for damage I couldn't see and, surprisingly, the steel bumper (below the plastic cover) had minor damage. OK - not life threatening but shows you need it checking properly.
 I see no ships........

I have had so much hassle in the past when this has happened that I would just tell my insurers to get on with it. 3rd parties have a habit of changing their minds when the bills come in.

Once its checked/fixed my first job would to be the purchase of a fixed tow bat set up, then next time you or your wife can just smile and drive off into the sunset.
