Spare wheel theft - help needed
Hi All
Been a little while since I last posted.
Need some help identifying a part please.
Some toe rag decided to nick my spare wheel whilst in a so called "secure car park" which will now need replacing. Will keep my eyes out for an 2008.5MY HSE wheel - annoyingly the tyre was just about brand new and it had the dreaded TPMS sensor fitted so will not be a cheap replacement.
My problem is that they also managed to fracture one of the mounting points for the large grey plastic "bumper" in the spare wheel well that sits between the wheel and the rear axle / exhaust etc. I have tried online to find one but cannot for the life of me work out what its called! Does anyone know what it is called or a part number so I can get one other than via the local stealer?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Is that bumper the plastic heat shield like thing? On the D3 I ripped that off playing off-road after a few months and it was never missed.

How is it possible to get the under car spare out without access to the boot ?
I guess they use a socket on the end of the cable and rotate til it snaps, not sure about the mount but the shield could be made out of alloy sheet.

hi
sorry to hear some nicked it
is this what u mean , i went to metal monster , one of the forum sponsors , they had one in stock
they are around £90 new , got mine second hand and was knowhere near that
this is also the new modified spare wheel winch i got , that has the later metal sleeve around the wire
plus as a temp measure i cut a piece of 18mm extrerior ply to protect my spare wheel , my spare is 17inch so not many metal plates around , so just thought the plywood will do for now and better than nothing
