The fuel economy on my D4 is shocking!

The fuel economy on my D4 is shocking. Noticeably 25% worse than my D3.
Considering it’s a big brick I think the acceleration and drive ability is great!

Is there a known remap for a D4 (2016) that can help address this?

I’m filling it up every couple of days 😁

My MY16 D4 was better on fuel than my 06 D3. The Cayenne is about 15% better than the D4.

My D4 was to within a spitting nats whisker of the mpg for my D3 in like for like driving. Ah the heady days of high 20s mpg. Thumbs Up

Now have to adjust to low to mid 50s on UL for the same trip. Whistle Whistle

PS Presently driving a rental Mitsu ASX 2WD, getting 40mpg and 91UL is all of 60p/ltr here in Queensland. Happy days. Mr. Green

Disco3Ben sorry your post doesn't include some vital information.

What, corrected MPG are you getting? Filling very couple of days adds nothing to our understanding of the issues. Are you doing 100 miles a day or 250 miles a day?

How are you calculating this?

Was your D3 manual or auto?

My D4, similar to yours has done 23.9 mpg over 40k miles, my D3 did 25.5 mpg over 86.5k miles. In both cases calculated in a spreadsheet of every fill up, 95%+ of the time "brimmed".

The 1.6 mpg deterioration I put down to auto rather than manual - I have disabled stop/start.

I'll just leave my signature with Fuelly data here Whistle

MY11 D4, just passed 150k miles. I do live on the side of hill and am using that as an excuse!

My 2012 D4 averages 24.4 mpg over 51k miles. A lot of town driving which doesn't help. Goes up to mid 30s for longer sedate trips.
I expect it wasn't the fuel economy that attracted us all to these cars....

Is that 24.4mpg real or trip comp figure?

To be honest, the MY07 BMW 320i Touring I had in a previous life (the one where I had lots of money because I didn't have kids or a Land Rover!!!) wasn't much better around these hills.

I have no idea what my normal mpg figures are. I drive the car, it uses fuel, I feed it some fuel.

some previous cars ...

VX Carlton D (literally the last non-turbo one built) = 33mpg no matter how it was driven.
Triumph Dolomite Sprint = 30 to 33 no matter how fast I went ( and I did Laughing )

Both big heavy cars.

Bertone X1/9. small, light, no room to fill it with much of any weight. Book figure = 49mpg. As driven by me = 25mpg. Rolling with laughter
