Drove out to the earthwork Spiral Jetty in the D3 yesterday. There are a few photos in my gallery.

Great photos mate, looks eery and moon like. I take it that the area is not populated. My dog would done exactly the same, constantly glaring at me all the while too! Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
I would Reply:
"Duratrac"

Thanks! My wife and I camp in the desert and remote areas in the mountains all the time, but driving out to the jetty was the first time I've felt completely isolated. We were well and truly in the middle of nowhere.
Despite the poisonously salty water, heat, infertile ground, and withered vegetation, there was a suprising amount of wildlife. Pronghorns, geese, herons, rabbits, and of course; insects.
